The journal „Beiträge zur allgemeinen und vergleichenden Sprachwissenschaft“ has appeared under this name since 2012. It started to use a bilingual name „Beiträge zur allgemeinen und vergleichenden Sprachwissenschaft / Contributions to General and Comparative Linguistics“ in 2020. It is a continuation of an earlier multi-thematic, multi-volume series „Beihefte zum Orbis Linguarum“ (published since 2006). The journal is published under the auspices of the Faculty of Letters, University of Wrocław in Poland. It is issued by Oficyna Wydawnicza ATUT (Wrocław) and Senfkorn Verlag Alfred Theisen (Görlitz).
\nThe editorial team consists of Edyta Błachut and Adam Gołębiowski (Institute of German Studies, University of Wrocław) and Dorota Klimek-Jankowska (Institute of English Studies, University of Wrocław). The journal is published annually.
\nAs a journal open to researchers from Poland, Europe, and the rest of the world, it enables the authors to publish original empirical, theoretical, and review papers, as well as short research reports in two languages: German and English.
